Join the OT301 Collective – Studio Space Available

Become a member of our self-organized cultural hub. A studio space in our building is available from 1 April 2026

APPLICATION DEADLINE MARCH 16

What is OT301?

OT301 is a legalized squat and a foundational part of Amsterdam's non-commercial cultural landscape. Since 2006, the building has been owned and self-managed by a diverse, international community of artists, activists and cultural makers, united in an association called EHBK. We are not a rental agency; we are an active, participatory community dedicated to sustaining a radical, independent space for art, politics and subculture.

Who are we looking for
We are seeking a new collective member, not just a tenant. The right person or collective is:
An artist or cultural practitioner in need of an affordable, permanent workspace.
Deeply committed to the principles of collective organization and active participation.
Ready and willing to contribute time and energy to shared tasks (maintenance, programming, committees) and attend regular meetings.
Eager to integrate their practice and perspective into our community.
If you are only looking for a rental studio without the commitment to collective work, this is not the right place for you.

Space
This 32m2 space (26m² private room + 6m² shared corridor space) is located on the third floor of our building. It is offered at a below-market rent in the area of 330€ per month, inclusive energy costs and internet.
Please note: As part of a vibrant building, some ambient sound from other activities is to be expected.
Ideal for: A visual artist, multimedia practitioner, textile worker, ceramicist, or an activist/artist needing focused office/workspace. Joint applications to share the studio are welcome.

Application guidelines
To apply, please email otresidency@gmail.com by 16 March 2026 with the following:

About You & Your Work (max. 500 words)
A description of your practice.
Why you need this studio.
Why you want to join the OT301 collective specifically.
Include supporting documentation: CV, portfolio, images, or links.
Your Collective Contribution (max. 300 words)
A concrete project, plan, or approach for how you will integrate into the building and its organization. Applications without this section will not be considered.
This could include ideas for sharing skills, contributing to a specific working group, or engaging with the community through events or collaboration.
