The OT301 has been squatted (1999) and bought (2006) by a diverse, international community that is united in an association called EHBK. We run this alternative, not-for-profit platform as a collective, in which housing, workspaces and public functions are combined to contribute to the arts, politics and subculture.

For decades, we’ve been told that endless economic growth is the only path forward. But what if that story is costing us everything - our planet, our democracies, and our future? 

The Cost of Growth is a feature documentary that exposes the hidden violence behind the global growth machine and amplifies the voices of those imagining another way. Filmed over 2 years across different parts of Europe, it weaves together stories from the frontlines of resistance - from Italian workers reclaiming their factories, to Serbian citizens fighting against lithium and Sami people defending their land.

This screening is organised by Ontgroei, the Dutch degrowth network. After the film, there will be a live discussion with the filmmakers Anuna de Wever and Lena Hartog, where we’ll explore the ideas behind the documentary and what they mean for action in the Netherlands and beyond."
